History
Pacific Isle Shades was officially established in 2019 by founder Chris Jones. Chris has a wealth of knowledge and over 16 years of experience in the interior and exterior window coverings industry. Before starting his own business, Chris had ten fruitful years working for a local Maui window coverings provider. Prior to moving to Maui over ten years ago, Chris was once partners in a window coverings business in California. Through his experiences in California and working with Maui residences and businesses Chris gained a tremendous amount of respect and high praise in the industry. Chris decided it was time to start his own company and service the niche market that wasn't being served. Pacific Isle Shades focuses on unique and custom shade solutions with motorization and automation as the primary elements.

Owner, Sales & Installation
Chris Jones
Chris has called Maui home for past 10+ years. He was born & raised in California and earned his degree in Business from Cal Polytechnic State University. Chris has been passionate about the window coverings industry for over 16 years and started his own company, Pacific Isle Shades, in 2019 in order to to best serve his clients directly and take his knowledge and experience in the field to the local Maui market. Family is very important to Chris. He is happily married and has three grown boys with his wife.
Sales & Installation
Derrick Otani
Born and raised on Maui, Derrick was first introduced to the Window Treatments trade in 1996. He has a wealth of knowledge, years of experience and holds several certifications. Derrick is a WCAA (Window Coverings Association of America) Certified Consultant. In 2008, he earned his Lutron WSP Certification. In 2010, Derrick became a Hunter Douglas Master Level II Shutter Specialist. Derrick also earned a Hunter Douglas Certified Motorization Specialist degree in 2012. Derrick is married with one daughter and loves to play golf.
